Lowest point below the sea level

“The Romans have been defeated. In the lowest land, and they, after their defeat will be victorious. Within ten years…”

[Al Qur’an 30:2-4]

The Arabic word used for ‘lowest’ in the above quoted verse is ‘adna’ which also means ‘nearer’ or ‘nearest’. The land of Palestine is the nearer to the Arabian Peninsula, and it also contains the lowest point below the sea level on the entire earth, namely the Dead Sea depression, at 392 m below the sea level.

At the time of revelation of these verses who could have known about these geological facts, which we came to know recently?

Furthermore, the Romans became victorious when they defeated the Persians within a span of ten years as the verse foretold!
